Aaron told me that Jakey also informed him that ear wax is ear drum poop. Where does he come up with these things? There are many other things that our kids say that keeps our home laughing. It's really alot of fun to have so many little people running around with so many things to say.

Funny Things our Kids Say...
So there are no pictures related to this post, but Aaron and I were just talking about something that Seth said tonight, and I had to post it. We were having our evening prayer, and I asked Sethy to say it. During the prayer he wouldn't accept any help from me, and every time I tried to intervene he would simply say "no" in a whisper. He then decided to pray for either Miss Piggy (who he for some reason loves!) or a pig of some sorts. He said "bess dat... piggy(snort)" It was so cute and so funny because he actually snorted. He wasn't trying to be funny, but it was all that the other kids could do to be reverent after that. As soon as he decided to say "Men (amen)" A&W broke out into uncontrollable laughter. It was so cute!! Seth is such an enjoyable child, and adds so much fun to our family.

Saturday was Micah's 1st Birthday!!! We can't believe it, he has gotten so big so fast. It seems almost unfair how fast time just slips by. We had such a good time at his little party. Family came, and so did friends to help us celebrate his special day.
Micah is such a pleasant baby. He just went with the flow of things, smiling most of the way. He was pretty intrigued with everything going on throughout the day, not quite sure about most of it but he seemed to have fun. The cake was the fun thing to watch. He was just so delicate with the frosting.
It took some special help from mommy and daddy, and his siblings to get him to finally dig his fingers into the cake. He just kept taking off the frosting, and eating that.
Once he figured out that there was chocolate underneath the party was on, but only for a short moment. For some reason, our kids have never completely demolished their first cake. They get more frustrated the more messy they get, and then the fun is over.
Cute Performing Star!!
This is our cute little star!! Mary was so much fun to watch at her Pre-school Christmas performance. She sang all the songs, and performed so well. She is meant to perform. It was so much different than watching the boys at their programs.
She performed her heart out for most of her family, including Grandparents, Aunt and Uncle, and cousins. Oh, and Daddy and Mommy, and the siblings.
Mary is so excited for Christmas, as well as the other kids. They are all counting down the days now. I have to admit it is coming up faster than I am prepared for though. Somehow it will all work out.

One of my Favorite Seasons!!
So I just have to say that I love Autumn! It is one of the greatest times of the year. It is the season when we get to dress up, stuff our faces with treats galore (only feeling semi guilty!), put on our jackets and coats, have little red noses, and watch the leaves change. Not to mention that I don't usually suffer from allergies in the fall, so it makes it that much better.
This year we decided to go pick our pumpkins for Halloween out of a pumpkin patch instead of a bin at the store. We thought it would create good memories for the kids. It was so much fun and the kids had so much fun. I think we started a new tradition this year.

Isn't Micah so dang cute. He didn't even mind sitting on the hard straw to get this pic. He's such a good little man.
As for the others, well, let's just say that Aaron and I gave eachother the look like we were either speaking a different language to our kids or they just didn't care to listen. Fun anyway!

This is one of those reasons why I love the season. This was my second attempt in ten years to make apple pie. I think I did okay. It tasted awesome! The crust was a little stiff, but I have a hard time not touching the dough. I want it to stick together, not fall apart. I man handled it. Those were made last week. Tonight my apple pies turned out great. I let go of my obsession with cohesive dough and just let it fall apart. It tasted much better.
This is how Seth got around at the patch. His legs are too little still to keep up fast enough with the other fast and non stop Libbylets.

Oh, another reason why I love this season is because it is when I met my husband eleven years ago. It was love at first sight, and I never looked back. Life has never been better!

School Break!
So, I feel like my life is a little crazy. I feel like I am constantly in the car running here and there and everywhere, the dirty dishes never go away, the clean laundry pile is over running my bedroom (I can wash it just fine, it's just finding the time to fold it.) There is just so much going on all the time. I used to feel like my life was pretty much in control, but I have to say that I really don't know what I am doing anymore. Everyone says that this time while the kids are young will fly past me, and I will miss it. Right now though, it can't fly past me fast enough. I just want to feel calm again. I really do enjoy my children. The kids are off track right now, maybe that's why I feel like there is chaos everywhere. Keeping them happy, and not bored while they're out of school is a goal that I think I've done okay on. Me and some of the other moms in the neighborhood have taken the kids to the park a few times, and the Sweets Candy Factory.

This is Micah with his cute hair net on from the tour. Everyone had to wear these gorgeous, outrageously attractive hair nets to go inside. It was worth it though. I think it was the "Sweetest" tour that I have ever been on.
The kids all really seem to love the tour too. Especially with all the free candy they were able to make themselves happy and hyper on!!

This is Seth and his little friend, Olivia. They truly had a great time on these swings at the park later in the day. I think they swung for about 45 minutes. Aren't they so cute?
Jake and Taylor seem to be enjoying their time at the park too as they pose for this pic. Thanks to my dear friend Natalie for being a good mom and remembering her camera.
Mary and Sara were so cute as they played together. On the swings they kept telling eachother how much they loved eachother and that they were the "bestest friends in the whole world". We find that when they are both doing something fun they love eachother, but if one is not getting here way, boy you better watch out because tears come a flyin'. That usually only lasts a short time. Then they love eachother again.

They all seem to get along really well. We love our friends and neighbors and the great friendships that we have. For me, whenever I get to spend time with these other moms, it's like a therapy session. I don't feel so crazy when I get to talk to them. Thanks ladies!!

Just Another Day in Paradise!
Today was just one of those days where everything just seemed to be out of control. This is probably more typical than I realize, but this morning I just wanted to escape.
Seth just couldn't understand why he got reprimended when he did such a mean thing to his sister. We did make it to church on time, and imagine what the subject of all the talks was. Well, they were focusing on reverence.

TRADITIONS!!!
It's been a while since I have written, but HAPPY 4TH of JULY to everyone!! We had a great day today. I have found that creating traditions has been a fun and joyful thing that our kids have learned to count on and look forward to. Every year for at least the past 10 years we have been going to Brighton Ski Resort for breakfast on the 4th. My parents were the first ones to start going and told all of us about it. We started going every year, and now our children start asking about it in December. "When do we get to go to Brighton again and then do fireworks?" It is something that we count down the days to.
We started with just Aaron and me, then little Aaron, then one more new Libby almost every year. This year was Micah's first Independence Day Holiday. I think he had a good time.

We all walked around Silver Lake. It was such a pretty day, and so much fun. This evening everyone came back to our home and we did fireworks and a light BBQ. THe kids had fun jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes, and our nephew even tried his stuff at riding a two wheeler! Way to go Kahner, you did great!! It will just get easier and easier. Without really saying, our kids didn't get to bed until almost midnight, and now here I am up blogging. Whatever. All I really wanted to say is that Family Traditions are terrific!!
My parents and brothers, and my sister and her family all went to the breakfast. Then we went and say KUNG FU PANDA. Afterwards, we went to eat a late lunch.
