Bedtime for Sethy

This is Seth in his cute bathrobe right before bed last night.  Aaron and I thought that he looked so sophisticated with his little hand in his pocket.

He even moved closer to the camera so that we could better view of him.  What a ham!

This is what we found after prayers and we told Seth to go climb into bed.  He just told daddy that he wanted to read books.  He took everybook that was in his room and put them on his bed with the hopes that Daddy would sit down and read to him all night.  We ended up only reading 2 or 3 and then he put on his headlamp and read until he fell asleep.  We did move the books off his bed so that he could find his sheets and go to sleep.  He's just so cute!

Hamburgers at home!

So, this is how we do hamburgers at the Libby home.  This is how Aarons Dad did it with him, and now this is how we do it with our kids.  For some reason the kids think that it is the greatest way to make a hamburger patty ever.  First daddy rolls ground beef into a ball on wax paper,

then the kids get to sit on a plate to squish the hamburger.  As you can see Seth is pretty happy that he gets to do this with daddy.

I love this picture because Mary has her legs straight out as stiff as she can get them.  Even her little toes are spread out because she's trying to keep her legs out.  Aaron was just getting a kick out of it.

It was fun to make them, and boy, were those hamburgers tasty!!  Better than anything you can buy at fastfood.

Sunday at the Libby's

Don't they all look so sharp in their new Sunday outfits?

Hey Dear, Lets take the kids out to the freezing cold!

So it's the day after christmas and we decided that we wanted to take the kids to see the lights at Temple Square before they get shut off on New Years.  It was a toasty 13 degrees outside.  We put the kids in their snow suits to make sure they maintained the most warmth possible.  I was really surprised to see how some people were dressed.  Either I have turned into a complete sissy in the cold, or their minds don't register that if they aren't dressed warm then they'll freeze!  Whatever the case, I was glad and the kids were glad that they were bundled.  It ended up being alot of fun.  Good memories.

Christmas Day!!

So, I feel really bad because Aaron and I were so caught up in video taping that we forgot to take any still pics at our own home.  I guess I will have to make a mental note of that for next year. At least I got pics at the grandparents home.
Everyone had such a good time being together and exchanging gifts.  It was so much fun to see the kids reactions and expressions opening things.
Aside from the toys and such and their grandparents home, all the kids also recieved new church outfits.  They are so awesome, and the kids were pretty excited, with the exception of Jacob.  He didn't think the suit was anything to be excited about and almost immediatly after opening it, he pushed the box aside and told Grandpa that he didn't want that for Christmas.  He ended up getting a quick chastening from mommy and then went to apologize for being ungrateful.  I guess gratitude is something that we're not born with.

Besides that little tantrum, all went well.  No tears were spilt, everyone seemed happy, and we all had alot of fun.

This is what happened to Micah after just a short morning of festivities.  He was so tired that he fell asleep on the hard tray while eating cheerio's.  Poor guy.
The rest of the kids were too excited to see what was in all the wrapping.  They were bouncing around all day long.  They were all very lucky.  Grandma Adrianne gave the kids robes for Christmas.  The boys are so excited because now they only need to wear underwear to bed, and they can cover up with their robes while they get ready.  It was a dream come true.

Overall, we had a great time together as a family,  and with our extended family members.  It was a busy day as always, but just as enjoyable as it always is too.  THanks everyone for such a special and great Christmas day together.

Christmas Eve

Let the Festivities begin!  I started by staying in the kitchen almost all night, and then waking up only to stay in the kitchen all day until we left for my parents home.  The kids and I enjoyed going out to our neighbors homes to deliver treats later in the afternoon while Daddy finished work.  We delivered a little less than 100 plates of goodies to our friends.  I was a little tired by the time we finished.  We then went to Grandpa and Grandma's house for a great dinner, a Christmas program and the traditional opening of the new pajamas.

By the time we were all in new pjs, the kids were so excited to Christmas Day to come that they were jumping around all over the place.
Daddy caught a couple of them in mid-air jumping off the stairs.  We had to wrap things up pretty quickly so that we could still get them to bed at a reasonable hour.  Santa's elves still had a lot of work to do before Santa could come visit.

This is Sethy and his cousin Jozef.  Both of them two years old, and both of them full of energy that I wish I could bottle and use on a daily basis.  Seth is a little excited and thinks that he can fly.  Love it!!

Funny Things our Kids Say...

So there are no pictures related to this post, but Aaron and I were just talking about something that Seth said tonight, and I had to post it.  We were having our evening prayer, and I asked Sethy to say it.  During the prayer he wouldn't accept any help from me, and every time I tried to intervene he would simply say "no" in a whisper.  He then decided to pray for either Miss Piggy (who he for some reason loves!) or a pig of some sorts.  He said "bess dat... piggy(snort)"  It was so cute and so funny because he actually snorted.  He wasn't trying to be funny, but it was all that the other kids could do to be reverent after that.  As soon as he decided to say "Men (amen)" A&W broke out into uncontrollable laughter.  It was so cute!!  Seth is such an enjoyable child, and adds so much fun to our family.
Aaron told me that Jakey also informed him that ear wax is ear drum poop.  Where does he come up with these things?  There are many other things that our kids say that keeps our home laughing.  It's really alot of fun to have so many little people running around with so many things to say.
